Malmaison Nice

The first few days spent on the French Riviera were in beautiful Nice, which was a really great destination to start with. Nice is a lovely place with lots of hidden treasures that I will show you in some future posts, because today I want to focus on the city center. It is a great touristic place with lots of beautiful squares, parks, fountains, restaurants and shops. We have stayed really close to all that at our home in Nice, La Malmaison Nice, a beautiful hotel where their hospitality made us want to return as soon as possible. We got there by evening and it was really dark to see the outside of the hotel, but as soon as we got to the room we saw how cozy it was and the lovely balcony with a great view over the Victor Hugo Boulevard.

They have also introduced us to a very new and amazing service, the Handy device, which is basically a smartphone with unlimited calls and internet that you can take away with you when you are out exploring. I must say that this came just at the right time as we have noticed that our phone company decided to change their politics overnight, without any notice and we have found ourselves in the impossibility of making any calls or use the internet for GPS services. The Handy device came ‘in handy’ as we couldn’t call from our phones the provider and let them know about the problem. As we have had unlimited calls with any country we could call back to Romania and get in touch with them to immediate fix the problem. It was of a great use also for GPS around Nice and it showed us many amazing places to take pictures in. It was like our little guide, that we could keep in the pocket.

All in all without any exaggeration, you should definitely visit Nice and the best place to stay in is La Malmaison Nice, with great staff, breakfast and the most cozy rooms. We have loved our stay there and cannot wait to be back soon.
