Costume National
The collection was designed by Ennio Capasa and my favourite look was the wine red velvet pijama suit, but I also like the sparkle in the pleated dress as well as the silk jumpsuit. I have always liked the Costume National simple yet modern cut coats.
Maliparmi’s Rocca FW 16 collection was inspired by the shapes of the rocks and has really nice embelished items. Above you can see some of my favourite items. I love the shape of the heeled boots and floral-baroque pattern as well as the sport shoes with those precious details, the weekend shoes every fashionista fancies of.
Fiammetta Pancaldi’s FW 16 collection was inspired in the life of the fishmen’s wifes that were expecting them to return from the sea. A lot of ropes and navy and my favourite items were the grey skirt and bomber jacket that are made by a special technique. The velvet insertions are manually cut and then applied on the fabric.I think they look really special and ad a bit of luxury to the grey classic fabric.
Anteprima was really minimalistic but with some feminine touches. My favourite items were the shirts with the oversized bows and the combination between the purple and glittery sparkling thin fabrics. I loved the movement and the cut of these classic pants as well.
Santoni. Did I die and got in the shoe Heaven? I guess so, since all the collection was inspired by Marlene Dietrich and her elegance. Here you have my top favourite pieces, but the truth is that I liked each pair. The velvet collection is to die for and the silk fringes and stones displayed like the crocodile’s skin are just the perfect final touch to create these masterpieces. The black and white jazzy shoes inspired by the Roaring ’20s reminds me of Great Gatsby and how I was born in the wrong era. Luckily there is Santoni that can bring a bit of beauty from that time into our modern lives.
Byblos by the talented Manuel Facchini was just perfect. I personally love to wear Fall colours in Autumn and the second look in this picture just screams out loud FALL. I loved the messy fringed jacket and how it combines with the classic cut brick coloured pants and the sheer top with coloured dots just tops it all. The elegant metallic pants in the middle are also my favourite and I like how the silky texture combines with the chunky coat and sweater. All in all Manuel knows how to layer and combine textures and this was what I liked most about this collection.
Tak.Ori by Lana had a lot of knit, striped and mixed prints. The presentation of the collection was in a lovely and luxurious atmosphere at Grand Hotel et de Milan while sipping cocktails and listening to the music of the DJ. I would have loved to wear some of the warm knits from this collection to this Milan Fashion Week as the weather wasn’t springish at all this late February.
I was wearing:
Zara dress
Zara flared pants
Asos trenchcoat
Concept 15 Milano round Emma bag
Daniel Wellington watch
ZeroUV sunglasses
MAC Ruby Woo retro matte lipstick
