I’m a make-up geek and especially this summer I want to focus more on my lips by adding a lot of color to them while keeping the eye make-up (that takes more time) more light. I’ve searched a while for something long lasting, but also very pigmented and very comfortable. After trying on so many matte liquid lipsticks that dry the lips and then look super smudged, I saw that Estée Lauder has launched the Pure Color Envy liquid lipsticks collection and decided to give them a try, because I love so many of Estée Lauder products. I gave them a try in the burning sun of Rome and wore the matte one for an entire day on wandering the beautiful Italian streets, drinking espresso, eating lunch. Well, I was surprised to see that it is very long lasting and also nourishing at the same time. That is really unexpected for a matte liquid lipstick. It lasted more than 1o hours with little touch-ups just because I love reapplying it so much and then I have changed it for their vinyl textured one, that was also amazing. I wore that one during the evening for a touch of shine and it lasted all night. It made the lips look bigger, fuller and with that touch of glam without looking too wet like a gloss.
The shades I have picked for Pure Color Envy are Pierced Petal for the matte one, which is a bright fuchsia, perfect for summer. The vinyl one is Lava Flow, a gorgeous bright red, also perfect for summer because it has some orange undertones, making it more lively that go hand in hand with the shiny texture.
