Balat Istanbul

I have finally the time to post again and show you one of my favourite places from Istanbul. We have stayed in there only three nights, but it was enough to get to see all of the places on my wishlist. One of them was this colourful neighbourhood, called Balat Mahallesi. The narrow streets looked totally different from the rest of Istanbul and the buildings were super colourful, just like a rainbow and their architecture resembled to the ones in Asterdam in my opinion. It was lovely to walk around those streets and there was one street filled with funky cafes with a lot of vintage stuff, very bohemian and nice. I imagined that in there come all the artists and writers from Istanbul to get inspiration for their work.

I was wearing a black and white look, in contrast with all the colours from Balat, but I love this Chicwish gingham dress. It has a lovely wrap cut and this print is just my favourite. I wire it with a biker cap and leather loafers for a chic and comfy look, because the streets in Istanbul are always filled with stairs and hills.
