You already know my passion for design and DIY and also the fact that every year I like to arrange a different party and deco for my birthday. It one of the things I like the most and it combines my favourite activities. Lately ever year was inspired by the places we’ve been visiting around the world and this is why the previous birthday parties on the terrace were inspired by Mykonos and Chefchaouen, a lovely city in Morocco. This year due to this pandemic we couldn’t travel as much and I have discovered a magical world at the countryside. Although at the beginning of the year we were in Mexico and I was already thinking about a party with this theme, but I will keep this one for my upcoming birthdays.
So this year’s theme was ‘Splendor in the orchard’, an orchard my father has started creating when I was little and I remember him buying the little trees that were this weekend keeping us shade. I made everyone dress in white so that we would all match and have dreamy photos in this green backdrop. It was a bit challenging for us to carry all the decorations from Bucharest to the countryside and the from the house there and we were preparing for this day a month in advance, working every weekend to arranging the orchard, cleaning the house and planting lots of flowers and grass the the garden, but everything came out as I was imagining it, or even better. Loved that after 3 months of staying in I managed to get everyone a day in fresh air and even our friends’ kids were more than excited about the ‘venue’.
I will leave the pictures speak for now and will be back with a video of us preparing everything, actually a video of me, because Adrian was filming the whole thing, but he has worked more than you can imagine and I cannot tell you how thankful I am for him and our relationship. Also, my parents helped me a lot, my father found the tables and the hay, my mothers has cooked all day, so that I could have an amazing day with my friends. Thank you! <3
And thanks to all my friends that are always there! Hope you’ve had a great time! #spendorintheorchard
