I cannot even begin to tell you how much I’ve liked this place and how amazing was that long weekend in October we’ve spent there.
First of all, I want to recommend it with all of my heart because the owner is such a sweet, kind and fun person and really puts all of her heart in that place and that shows in every corner. The nature there is incredible with the river, the waterfall, that amazing bridge, the forest and so much more that makes the air so crips, so fresh and amazing, perfect for some chill days to relax and reconnect with the nature.
I also loved the food, traditional Romanian and ‘ca la mama acasa’ as we say and it means really good comfort food like our moms cook for us. The place is relatively close to Sibiu and you can make a trip over there after you charge up your batteries in nature. You can take a hike to the mountains there and explore all the mushrooms in the woods as we did. If you get sunny days, chill by the river and get you vitamin D on their sun chairs. They have a really lovely space in the woods with a table and some benches where you can serve a cup of mulled wine and tell stories around the fire with your friends. Those will be the most memorable nights, trust me. They also have an outdoor tub with really ht water and their sauna is in the making and will be ready shortly.
The Chalet is super nice on the inside, as well and the rooms super elegant and cozy at the same time. I personally liked that we’ve had all the comfort inside after a day spent out. And also it is great to wake up with such an amazing view and the sound of the waterfall.
I truly loved this place and how it looked in fall and cannot wait to see how winter sets up its backdrop in here. It is the best cozy and magical place to spend the Christmas and NYE this year with all this situation, totally disconnected with the city and connected with the nature.
