Long time no article on the blog, but lately I have discovered some interesting perfumes online and couldn’t resist writing more about them. First, I have to tell you that I have discovered them on the online shop olfactiv.ro. I loved that I didn’t have to wait a lot to receive them and the perfumes were as fine and classy as I was expecting them to be. All of the perfumes they sell are from Louis Varel, a niche French brand at very affordable prices, that smell so intense and different from most duty free ones.
I was looking for something oriental at the beginning and started checking the Oriental Collection first, as I like combining floral notes with oriental ones even during summer. These three were my top picks from checking their notes list.
Extreme Amber is a very elegant and intense one that perfectly mixes the amber with the vanilla and the patchouli. It has a dusty thick smell at the beginning and then you are left with the most soft interesting oriental scent on your skin. It makes me think of Rabat and a rooftop there where I drank the most delicious mint tea combined with vanilla and orange tree flowers. It was delicious and such a surprising combination, that I remember everything like a mysterious dream. Kind of the same feeling this perfume gives me, psychedelic.
I think my favourite of the three has to be Extreme Musk, although it is very hard to pick a favourite. This one is simply amazing, oriental, but sweet and floral. Really hard to explain into words, this is why you really have to try it. It has an intense scent of synthetic of mosk, cinnamon, rose and patchouli. It instantly takes me to one of our trips to Marrakech.
Extreme Rose is again very special but more delicate and I would say it has a very feminine delicate touch, combing the rose notes with sweet oriental ones, really like all the scents in Turkey. This is why it made me instantly travel with my mind to Capadoccia where you could smell on the streets the caramelized baklavas and their oriental candles and perfumed aromaterapy sticks.
